Current mood:uncomfortable
She can tell ya about the plane crash with a gleam in her eye.
It's interesting when people die.
Give us dirty laundry.
Don Henley, Dirty Laundry
So I was watching the evening news on Friday, and it had to be one of the most sureal days of news I've ever seen.
Story 1. Four teenagers sodimize a boy with a broomstick. It was so bad that the news actually showed the four accused. Which is surprising considering the suspects are under 18.
Story 2. A terrible rape happened, but at least the suspect was caught.
Story 3. Teacher having sex with underage student.
Story 4. Man sentenced for rape.
So the first four stories were all about sex crimes. So then a change of story for number five.
Story 5. The man who beat a baby, threw it out on Interstate 275, drove off, and let it die, went before Judge Hinerich to see if he could make bail. Judge Hinerich did not give him bail. In a way I think it was smart for the man's own safety. If he actually made bail he'd be dead in a week.
I always complain when the news has fluff pieces, but on a day where the news starts off with 5 stories like that, maybe I shouldn't complain about the fluff.
