Socialist fish farming and the Nazi Boy Scout Stormtroopers. It sounds like an Original Sci-Fi movie doesn’t it? No it’s not. I know what you are thinking, “Dang it Adrian, what weird idea have you come up with yet again?” But no, I can not take credit for this idea. I walked into a place and Glenn Beck was on the radio.
He was talking about why this one town that wanted to start a community fish farm was a bunch of socialists. He explained that the youth group they wanted to be a part of this fish farm were actually youth group stormtroopers. He then went on to say that those in the town who did not want to be part of this group, or those who wanted to start their own fish farms would have their guns taken away, and be killed by the youth group stormtroopers with AK-47’s.
So community farming which has been around as long as humankind has is dangerous? Youth groups like the Boy Scouts or kids interested in fish are Nazi’s? Those that don’t agree will have their guns taken away? Those that don’t agree will be killed by the Nazi youth groups with fully automatic military AK-47’s?
I’m not even sure where to start. It reminds me of an old Monty Python episode where it made fun of the US and USSR. It said that the US’s position was that communism was like a cavity, and when one tooth fell, all the teeth would eventually fall. I realize that Glenn Beck is trying to make the link that one tiny bit of socialism will destroy our government. But I don’t see how community fish farming equates with lining people up against a wall, and killing them.
The only thing I can think is that Glenn Beck would make a great Science Fiction writer. Lord knows he has the imagination.
